When Kevin Garry, owner and operating partner, opened L'Artusi, a high-end eatery in New York City's West Village in 2008, he aimed to create an ambitious, inventive Italian restaurant. It endured some minor setbacks at the outset, but has become a mainstay and success that led to his expanding with b'artusi, an Italian-inspired small plate wine bar and Via Porta, a coffee and sandwich shop, both located a block away from the original L'Artusi. There's something to be said for proximity. Now Garry is at it again, debuting the L'Artusi Supper Club, a private event and supper club, located a block away on Christopher Street. It's pricey costing $195 per person including gratuity for a four-course dinner with wine pairings at 5:30 p.m. and an 8:30 meal with five courses with wine pairings for $225 (tip included).
