Protesters in the Lower Hudson Valley are gearing up for another day of demonstration Saturday, March 28, with another round of No Kings rallies in Westchester and Rockland counties. No Kings protest organizers held their first protest on June 14, 2025, in response to President Donald Trump's plans to stage a military parade in Washington D.C. to commemorate his own birthday and Flag Day. Another nationwide "No Kings" protest took place Oct. 18 to protest an earlier partial government shutdown that affected low-income families' access to SNAP and other benefits.
