The start of the 2026 Legislative Session on March 9 will mark her first day in office as District 60 State Representative. The move for the soon-to-be former Iberville Parish Council member from District 10 comes after her election victory against Brad Daigle on Feb. 7. The special election came after Gov. Jeff Landry named previous House member Chad Brown commissioner of the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control. During an interview with Martinez at Clubhouse Bistro, it seemed almost like a continuation of her victory party. Friends, public officials and others stopped to congratulate the soon-to-be former Iberville Parish Council member and wish her well in her next public service endeavor.
