Built with passengers in mind, Airo trainsets feature upgraded seating, improved reliability, and modern connectivity aimed at making rail a more competitive travel option. Amtrak The first Airo trains will enter service on the Amtrak Cascades route, connecting Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, B.C., and Eugene, Oregon, with full production expected by 2026. Amtrak Additional Airo trainsets are planned for the Northeast Regional, with testing beginning in 2026 and passenger service expected to follow in 2027.
