The maker of Folgers coffee and Uncrustables sandwiches posted adjusted earnings per share of $2.38 for the quarter ended January 31, beating the analyst consensus of $2.26. Revenue came in at $2.3 billion, slightly below the $2.33 billion estimate but up 7% from $2.19 billion in the same quarter last year. Excluding divestitures and foreign currency impacts, net sales increased 8%, driven by a 10 percentage point increase from higher pricing, primarily in coffee, partially offset by a 2 percentage point decline in volume/mix. Shares rose 7.9% following the results. "Our business continues to deliver strong results in a dynamic external environment.
