TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sierra Metals Inc. (TSX: SMT) (NYSE American: SMTS) (BVL: SMT) (“Sierra Metals” or the “Company”) announces the mutually agreed upon departure of Gordon Babcock, Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Babcock is leaving to pursue other opportunities. The effective date of his departure will be August 16, 2019.Alonso Lujan, Vice President of Exploration and the Country Manager for Mexico, and Miguel Paucar, Country Manager of Peru, will take over Mr. Babcock’s responsibilities and report directly to the President and CEO, Igor Gonzales.J.
