GERMANTOWN, Md., Jan. 17, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Seneca Biopharma, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNCA), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel treatments for various diseases of high unmet medical need, today announced the agreement by several accredited investors to exercise certain warrants to purchase up to an aggregate of 5,555,554 shares of common stock having an exercise price of $2.70 issued by the company on July 30, 2019, at a reduced exercise price of $1.36 per share, priced at-the-market under Nasdaq rules. The shares of common stock issuable upon exercise of the warrants are registered pursuant to a registration statement on Form S-1 (File No. 333-232273) which became effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 25, 2019. The gross proceeds to the company from the exercise of the warrants are expected to be approximately $7.55 million, prior to deducting placement agent fees and estimated offering expenses.H.C.
