SNDL leads cannabis decliners after Q4 results [Seeking Alpha]

Thursday as investors looked past its Q4 2023 results, which, however, indicated an improving bottom line. While its quarterly net revenue grew ~3% YoY to C$248.5M, its net operating loss fell ~45% YoY to C$84.9M despite C$13.3M restructuring expenses and $29.0M of goodwill impairment. Meanwhile, its net revenue jumped ~28% YoY to C$909.0 in 2023, during which SNDL completed the acquisition of The Valens Company, an operator of a 180-strong cannabis retail store network. Its full-year gross margin improved to 21% from 20%, while its quarterly gross margin rose to 23% from 18% a year ago, driven by its high-margin Cannabis Retail segment, which added C$205.6M and C$75.2M to the topline with ~41% YoY and ~10% YoY growth, respectively.
