On March 3, SoFi Technologies and Mastercard (NYSE: MA ) announced an enhanced partnership to integrate SoFiUSD as a settlement option across Mastercard's global payments network. SoFiUSD is a fully reserved US dollar stablecoin and represents the first such asset offered by a US nationally chartered and insured bank on a public blockchain. The collaboration aims to accelerate money movement for global use cases, including cross-border remittances and B2B transfers, by allowing card-based transactions to settle 24/7.
