Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc opened in theaters on Oct. 24, about six weeks after its studio, Sony Pictures Entertainment/Crunchyroll's other big anime hit this year — Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle — opened in September. Both Chainsaw Man and Demon Slayer finished at No. 1 at the box office in their respective opening weekends. The official summary for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc reads, “Based on the hugely popular anime series, Chainsaw Man continues in an all-new epic, action-fueled adventure. Amid a brutal war between devils and hunters, another battle starts in Denji's heart when he meets a mysterious girl named Reze. Facing secret enemies and fighting for his humanity, Denji revs up for his deadliest battle yet.” SPE/Crunchyroll announced on Friday that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will be released on digital streaming via premium video on demand on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
