Mike Kohan, the founder and CEO of the Kohan Retail Investment Group, confirmed the purchase of the mall Wednesday with Our Quad Cities News. Kohan also owns Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids and Southern Hills Mall in Sioux City, Iowa. according to the Kohan website The city acknowledges the significant interest this property holds for residents. “City of Moline Economic Development staff have been working diligently with prospective developers and businesses to bring the mall area back to life,” said Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati. “We look forward to getting to know the new owners and working together to transform this important business district.” As always, the City of Moline remains committed to supporting thoughtful growth and revitalization throughout Moline. the release says.
