During this time, oil prices have remained steady at about $110 per barrel, and the national average gas price is currently at $4.11. In the economic stance, the war in Iran has been good in terms of oil prices, but Americans back home have seen hits to their wallet, from gas prices to airline ticket prices, along with a number of other things. A Wall Street Journal report points to the U.S. economy being stronger than others right now because of the country's standing as a major energy exporter. Many countries rely on Middle Eastern oil as well, and it has to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran notifies civilians of retaliatory targets if US attacks infrastructure According to S&P Global, the U.S. exports more liquefied natural gas than agricultural items, like corn and soybeans. The U.S. has already made strides for supplying natural gas. Because of the war between Russia and Ukraine, many European countries that used to get that gas from Russia now get it from America.
