Interrupted operations at certain ports have imbalanced trade activity, sparking market volatility. According to ongoingupdatesby global logistics providers, low import volumes caused exporters to deal with scarcity of empty containers for weeks. As a result, U.S. terminals slowed down operations, as cargo volumes shrunk and consolidated to other terminals.
