MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SunOpta Inc. (“SunOpta” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: STKL) (TSX: SOY), a North American supply chain solutions provider, today announced that its shareholders approved the proposed acquisition of the Company by an affiliate of Refresco Holding B.V. (“Refresco”) for US$6.50 per share in cash pursuant to the previously-announced plan of arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act (the “Arrangement”) at the Company’s special meeting of shareholders held on April 16, 2026.The Arrangement was approved by 98.06% of the votes cast at the special meeting, and a non-binding, advisory executive compensation proposal was approved by 82.45% of the votes cast at the special meeting.
