Q1 earnings beat and guidance shift focus to AI and data centers STMicroelectronics (ENXTPA:STMPA) is back in the spotlight after first quarter earnings and guidance pointed to recovering demand in key chip markets, alongside management's growing emphasis on AI and data center opportunities. For Q1 2026, STMicroelectronics reported sales of US$3,089 million and revenue of US$3,095 million, compared with US$2,513 million and US$2,517 million a year earlier. Net income was US$37 million, with basic and diluted earnings per share from continuing operations at US$0.04, compared with US$0.06 in the prior year period. Management highlighted that automotive chip demand returned to year on year growth, while industrial demand improved.
