BROOKFIELD NEWS, Feb. 23, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brookfield Canada Office Properties (TSX:BOX.UN) (NYSE:BOXC) today announced that the special committee of the Board of Trustees of Brookfield Canada Office Properties (the “special committee”) – comprised of four independent Trustees – has appointed Greenhill & Co. Canada Ltd. (“Greenhill”) to act as its financial advisor in connection with the previously announced proposal by Brookfield Property Partners L.P. to acquire all of Brookfield Canada Office Properties’ units that it or its affiliates do not own (the “proposal”). The special committee has also appointed Goodmans LLP to act as its Canadian legal advisor and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP to act as its U.S. legal advisor in connection with the proposal.
