By Wakako Sato | TOKYO, Sept 9 TOKYO, Sept 9 Private equity firms KKR,Bain Capital and MBK Partners are set to submit second-roundsbids to buy Japanese auto parts maker Calsonic Kansei Corp, which has a market value of $2.4 billion, people withdirect knowledge of the matter told Thomson Reuters LPC. The buyout firms will bid for Nissan Motor Co's 41percent stake in Calsonic, which Japan's second-biggestautomaker is auctioning. The winner of that bid is then expectedto make a public tender for the rest of Calsonic's shares, thesources said. Calsonic provides private equity firms a rare opportunity todo a large-sized transaction in Japan, where they havetraditionally been unwelcome as domestic companies are loathe tothe drastic restructuring typically undertaken by private equityacquirers. Nissan may use the cash toward planned investments as itcontinues to develop new technologies including next generationelectric cars and automated driving functions,
