Now’s the time to buy As vehicle prices rise and more lower-mileage used cars drive onto dealership lots, buying a new car is less attractive — and car companies are getting antsy to make a deal. That is exceptionally good news for those in the market for a new car, since many shoppers will likely see attractive incentives to win them over. “It is a great time to buy,” said Thomas King, vice president of media and marketing at research firm J.D. Power. Car prices have been gradually rising every year and lightly used cars are strong alternatives to buying a brand-new one.
