Onconova stays the course with late-stage study of rigosertib in MDS; shares up 13%Thinly traded nano cap Onconova Therapeutics (ONTX+12.6%) is up on a healthy 36x surge in volume (although down almost 30% from the intraday high of $2.66) on the heels of itsannouncement that it will advance the Phase 3 INSPIRE study assessing lead candidate rigosertib in patients with treatment-resistant myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).The company made its decision following an interim analysis by the independent Data Monitoring Committee.
