VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 23, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Silvercorp Metals Inc. (“Silvercorp” or the “Company”) (TSX: SVM) (NYSE American: SVM) reported its financial and operating results for the fourth quarter and twelve months ended March 31, 2019. All amounts are expressed in US Dollars. FISCAL YEAR 2019 HIGHLIGHTS Ore mined up 5% to 906,794 tonnes compared to the prior year;Metals sold amounted to approximately 6.4 million ounces of silver, 3,500 ounces of gold, 64.8 million pounds of lead, and 22.7 million pounds of zinc, up 6%, 13%, 5% and 16%, respectively, compared to the prior year;Sales of $170.5 million, compared to $170.0 million in the prior year;Gross profit margin of 49% compared to 52% in the prior year, with the decrease mainly due to lower metal prices;Net income attributable to equity shareholders of $39.7 million, or $0.23 per share compared to $47.0 million, or $0.27 per share in the prior year.
