VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 09, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Silvercorp Metals Inc. (“Silvercorp” or the “Company”) (TSX: SVM) (NYSE American: SVM) reported its financial and operating results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2018 (“Q1 Fiscal 2019”). All amounts are expressed in US Dollars. Q1 FISCAL YEAR 2019 HIGHLIGHTS Sales of $45.1 million, up 14% or $5.4 million compared to $39.7 million in the prior year quarter; Net income attributable to equity shareholders of $10.9 million, or $0.07 per share1, an effective increase of $4.3 million or 65% over the prior year quarter, which was $6.6 million or $0.04 per share after excluding a one-time non-cash gain on disposal of NSR, which increased the actual net income attributable to shareholders to $10.9 million or $0.07 per share for that period;Gross profit margin of 55% compared with 50% in the prior year quarter;Cash flow from operations of $21.1 million, an increase of $4.2 million or 25% compared to $16.9 million in the p
