Additionally, there are plans to open 205 new 7-Eleven locations during the year. The planned IPO of 7-Eleven's North American business has been delayed into next year, the Wall Street Journal reported. The parent company of 7-Eleven intends to shut down hundreds of its North American locations over the coming months. What we know A recent filing showed the company intends to shutter 645 stores during its 2026 fiscal year, which began in March. The total number of coming closures includes stores that will be converted into wholesale fuel stores, which 7-Eleven excludes from its count of convenience stores.
