That's according to documents released last week by the chain's parent company Seven & i Holdings. The closures are expected to be completed during the company's current fiscal year, which ends on Feb. 28, 2027. While 7-Eleven is closing 645 locations, it will open more than 200 across North America during the fiscal year. According to C-Store Dive, this will mark the fifth consecutive year 7-Eleven has closed more locations than it's opened. The company did not provide a list of which locations will be shuttered, but did say some of the stores will be converted to “wholesale fuel stores.” Along with closing locations, 7-Eleven is switching up its offerings by reducing the focus on grab-and-go items. Instead, the company plans to offer more meal options and higher quality food, according to the New York Post.
