UPDATE 3-Norway central bank slashes rates, pumps money into banks * Norway c.bank cuts policy rate to 1% from 1.5% * Offers loans to banks, relaxes capital buffer * Moves aim to ease economic impact of coronavirus * Cuts 2020 growth view to 0.4% from 1.9% (Adds comment, background) By Terje Solsvik and Victoria Klesty OSLO, March 13 (Reuters) - Norway’s central bank slashed interest rates on Friday and lined up emergency loans for banks, as it warned of a sharp economic downturn triggered by the coronavirus outbreak. Norges Bank cut its key policy rate to 1.0% from 1.5% and signalled it may cut again. The announcement was unexpected and the reduction its biggest since 2011.
