The funding was co-led by Suzuki Motor Corporation, ACS Group and Khosla Ventures. Existing investors Mitsui Chemicals and Gates Frontier also took part, along with new backer Obayashi Corporation. Founded in 2016 and backed by OpenAI founder Sam Altman, the autonomous urban mobility firm said the latest round has raised its total funding to more than $250m. Glydways said the capital will be allocated across three priorities. These include geographic expansion through pilot operations planned for 2026 in the UAE, the New York City area and Atlanta. Larger-scale rollouts are expected to follow from 2027. The company also intends to advance its technology. This includes producing next-generation Glydcars in partnership with Suzuki. In addition, Glydways plans to expand its workforce and infrastructure footprint across North America, APAC, the Middle East and Europe. It currently operates eight offices worldwide.
