Brookfield (TSX:BN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TransAlta and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to advance a large AI focused data center project in Alberta, with TransAlta as exclusive power provider. The company has agreed a multibillion dollar fuel cell deployment partnership with Bloom Energy aimed at supplying AI oriented data centers. Brookfield is also involved in major U.S. nuclear energy buildout efforts alongside Westinghouse and Cameco, targeting long term power solutions for digital infrastructure. Brookfield is tying these energy and digital infrastructure projects together at a time when its shares trade around CA$59.82, with a 1 year return of 7.8%. The company has also recorded gains over 3 and 5 years, at 97.5% and 120.9% respectively, which gives context for how the market has treated its long term build out of real assets.
