After MillerCoors had backed out the previous December, NASCAR did not even have an official beer for Daytona. The Daytona 500 without a gigantic beer presence? Unimaginable! It is stretching it only a little to say that stock-car racing was invented for people to enjoy a cold one -- or many cold ones. The Daytona 500 and beer went together like the Kentucky Derby and mint juleps. Well, great news on that front: Beer sponsorship practically will flow, or at least trickle, at NASCAR’s biggest race this weekend.
