Katie Leinenkugel is the new president of the Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company, succeeding her cousin Tony Bugher. In a statement posted to social media on Jan. 28, Leinenkugel talked about the history being made with this announcement. “I'm especially proud to be only the second female president in our family company's long history. The first was Susan Leinenkugel, daughter of Jacob Leinenkugel, who led the brewery in 1927," Leinenkugel said. "Nearly a century later, I'm humbled to follow in her footsteps and the footsteps of every president before me, to continue the legacy of leadership, innovation, & family spirit that defines our iconic brewery.” Founded in Chippewa Falls, Leinenkugel is owned by Molson Coors, formerly Miller Brewing Company. Although the company just recently made the move public, Bugher announced Leinenkugel would be president on on his LinkedIn page when he announced he was stepping down.
