Shares of Nvidia rose 1% in premarket trading on Thursday, boosted in part Quick Insights China is creating rules to limit and control Nvidia H200 GPU purchases, likely capping quantities and allocating which companies may buy them, which could restrict overall sales. China may impose quotas on the number of H200 GPUs and on the foreign versus domestic chip purchase ratio, with special approval required for certain uses such as research.
