after a jury found that the company had abused its power as a gatekeeper for apps on the Android platform, Reuters reported. The Fortnite video game maker Epic made the demands in a court filing to U.S. District Judge James Donato in San Francisco, urging that Google's Play Store should allow the distribution of competing third-party app stores for six years and also limit Google's ability to sign deals with device makers to curb the preloading of rival app stores, the report added In December, Epic Games won its high-profile antitrust case against Google after a jury found that the search giant's Play app store was operating as an illegal monopoly. Donato had presided over the antitrust trial. In the trial, the jury found that Google monopolized the Android app distribution and payments market by charging app developers high fees of up to 30% and striking side deals with rivals to fend off competition.
