Manus after Chinese regulators stepped in and blocked the deal on national security grounds, according to a Wall Street Journal report. China's National Development and Reform Commission has ordered Meta to unwind the transaction within a few weeks and return Manus's Chinese assets, including any data or technology that may have been transferred. The startup, which relocated to Singapore in 2025, had already reached $100 million in annualized revenue, making it a meaningful asset in Meta's broader push into AI agents.
