"TD had a strong fourth quarter, delivering robust fee and trading income in our markets-driven businesses as Quick Insights Strong fee and trading income as well as volume growth in Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking, with Wealth Management delivering record earnings, were key drivers of TD Bank's fiscal Q4 performance above analyst expectations. Canadian Personal & Commercial Banking net income grew 2% year-over-year; U.S. Retail net income climbed 31% year-over-year (excluding Schwab investment); Wealth Management & Insurance net income surged by C$350M due to record wealth management earnings and lower catastrophe claims; Wholesale Banking net income increased by C$259M year-over-year, mainly driven by higher revenue and lower credit loss provisions.
