TerraForm Power bids $1.2B for Spanish renewables firm Saeta YieldTerraForm Power (NASDAQ:TERP) says it haslaunched a €995M ($1.2B) takeover bid for Spanish renewable energy firm Saeta Yield toexpand its presence in western Europe.TERP says the deal will be financed by a $400M equity offering backed by Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE:BAM), which owns 51% of TERP, and with available liquidity.TERP says Saeta’s main shareholders, Spanish construction company ACS and U.S. fund Global Infrastructure Partners, which both hold 24% stakes, have agreed to sell their holdings.Citing the accretion of the transaction, TERP raises its annual dividend to $0.76/share, a 6% increase over its previous target of $0.72, and reconfirms its dividend growth target of 5%-8%/year.Click to subscribe to real-time analytics on BAMNow read:Amazon Insurance: 5 Attractive High-Income Retail REITs »
