Target Corp. was upgraded to outperform from market perform at BMO Capital Markets after analysts forecast it will take market share from retailers that cease operations post-coronavirus. BMO raised its price target to $125 from $115. Analysts led by Kelly Bania say about $109 billion in sales at apparel and home goods retailers have credit ratings lower than investment grade. Analysts expect Target's clothing and home sales will increase and its same-day services, including home delivery, will be a benefit. "As we saw in F2020, digital fulfillment gross margin percentage pressure can be more than offset if mix is favorable enough in high-margin categories," analysts wrote. Target stock has rallied 32.2% over the past year while the S&P 500 index has slipped 2.1% for the period.
