Teijin Frontier raises polyester fibre prices by 20% amid rising oil costs [Yahoo! Finance]

Textile prices will increase by between 15% and 25%. The price revisions took effect from shipments on 7 April 2026 onward. Teijin Frontier said the move follows disruption to global crude oil supplies linked to the recent deterioration in the Middle East, which has driven up prices for crude oil and petrochemical products. This has had a knock-on impact on the cost of key inputs used in polyester fibre production. In addition to higher raw material and energy costs, the company pointed to increased logistics expenses and rising production labour costs as contributing factors. Teijin Frontier said it had attempted to absorb these pressures by improving production efficiency and reducing expenses.
