Over 13,000 wireless phone chargers sold at T.J. Maxx and Marshalls have been recalled due to an explosion risk. “The chargers can explode while in use, posing a fire and burn hazard,” TJX, Massachusetts-based owner of T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, shared on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's website. The company sold the Isla Rae magnetic wireless chargers for $15 between June 2024 and November 2025, the notice read. According to the company, 13,200 of the chargers sold in the U.S. have been recalled, while 7,000 chargers were sold in Canada. The chargers attach magnetically to the backs of phones, charging them, and were sold in white, pink, and purple. The chargers were manufactured in China, and Hello to Green or Press Play Products of Bell, California imported them. The chargers' model no. is RM5PBM, and the recall no. is 26-179.
