Earth Day takes place on April 22 to show support for the protection of the environment and our planet. EarthDay.Org announced that this year's theme is "Our Power, Our Planet.” Automakers are producing more fuel-efficient cars in 2026 thanks to hybrid technology. Some vehicles are capable of traveling for over 600 miles on a full tank of gas because of their high gas mileage. Not every car is a gas guzzler thanks to major technological innovations in the automotive industry. In fact, some of the most fuel-efficient cars ever made are on the market in 2026 due to hybrid powertrains and a strong focus on reducing carbon emissions. Several major automakers produce hybrid and even standard hybrid vehicles in 2026 that get better gas mileage than gas counterparts and produce more power.
