While touring Thermo Fisher Scientific in Reading, a Cincinnati suburb, Trump mentioned he spent three summers with his father, Fred Trump, managing an apartment complex called He asked officials with Thermo Fischer whether they still called Cincinnati the Queen City. "It was a great experience with my father," Trump said. "I was very young." He remembered it as a positive experience. "It worked out very well," Trump said. "It's always good to get off to a good start." What Trump didn't mention about Swifton Village Trump has when visiting Cincinnati. He doesn't mention what went wrong there. He didn't mention a 1970 lawsuit accusing Fred Trump's company of racial discrimination in its decision-making about who could rent the apartments.
