Tejon: Betting The Ranch Summary Tejon Ranch is a largely undeveloped property just north of Los Angeles that is nearly five times larger than San Francisco. By looking at comparable acre value, we can see that its developable land is undervalued by at least 75% on the balance sheet. The stock currently trades at a market capitalization on par with its very depressed book value. The company has a pipeline that will add over 30,000 new homes to an area with rapidly growing demand. Ongoing environmental litigation has pushed the stock price lower but may act as a positive catalyst after a likely favorable settlement is reached.
