That's net income of 83 cents per share, up from 61 cents per share in 2024. Pioneer also announced that it had created its own broker-dealer entity called Pioneer to be able to do more proprietary trading of investment-grade municipal bonds. "This launch reflects Pioneer's ongoing strategy to diversify our products and services and to increase non-interest income," the bank said in a statement. Non-interest income is fee income that the bank makes that isn't tied to interest charges on loans. Banks tend to want to diversify their income streams so they can weather high-interest-rate environments like the current one, as the Federal Reserve Bank continues to battle inflation. Pioneer reported net loans of $1.65 billion at the end of 2025, up $211 million from the end of 2024. The bank had $20.3 million in net interest income during the fourth quarter of 2025.
