As Tesla Shares Plunge Again, Bets On The Company's Ultimate Demise Are Increasing Yikes. That was my first reaction to published reports that Morgan Stanley's Adam Jonas had this morning lowered his "worst-case" valuation on Tesla shares to $10 per share. By Jonas’ calculations, the worst-case would involve Tesla missing his Chinese volume estimates by 50%. I noted lack of uptake for the Model 3 by Chinese consumers the key issue facing Tesla in this Forbes column last week. To be fair, Jonas' "best-case" evaluation for Tesla shares is $391 and his official price target is $230 per share, but the thought of Tesla shares’ current plummet extending to near zero has put the shares on fire sale again. As of this writing the shares are indicated at $199 in premarket trading, a stunning pullback from the high of $387.59 on August 7th, 2018, reached after CEO Elon Musk’s now-infamous"funding secured" tweet. Merely repeating ad nauseum that 2019 has been a disaster for Musk and co. misses
