Austin-based electric vehicle company Tesla is reportedly considering a new compact SUV. The Austin-based automaker is reportedly weighing plans for an all-new compact SUV, according to Reuters , which cited anonymous sources familiar with the matter. Gigafactory Texas has been the production site for Tesla's most recent vehicles — the Cybercab and the Cybertruck — but it's unclear whether Austin would be the primary production site for the new SUV. China was considered as a production site, according to those who spoke to Reuters, while another person said Tesla aims to expand production to the U.S. and Europe.
