Xiaomi's EV segment has scaled rapidly—growing from ~3% to ~25% of group revenue in 18 months—while the legacy electronics business remains the core of the company. Tesla remains the primary competitor in the RMB 200k–300k premium EV segment, but domestic sales data indicate Xiaomi is gaining market share as Tesla's China momentum softens. Xiaomi's advantage comes from two structural tailwinds: the upgraded supply chain developed after Tesla's localization and its own software-native ecosystem, which aligns closely with Chinese consumer preferences.
