Revenue came in at $33.7 billion, beating analyst expectations. Those numbers tell a story that most investors are missing. The AI race isn't about who designs the best chip. It's about who gets access to the factory that makes them. The Structure Everyone Misunderstands Most of the high end semiconductor world runs on one business model: fabless. Nvidia, Apple, AMD, Qualcomm, Broadcom, and others all design highly sought after chips. None of them own fabrication plants. Nearly every blueprint flows to TSMC, the sole master of advanced manufacturing nodes. This structure has created an unbreakable lock in. TSMC dominates roughly 90% of the market for chips made at 5nm and below
