antitrust attorney David Pearl has joined the firm's Washington, DC office as a partner. Pearl's hire is the latest in the firm's US investment strategy, following the arrival of John Elias in its Washington, DC office last October and Burr Eckstut in New York last September. Pearl will focus on advising clients on high-stakes contentious and noncontentious antitrust issues, including litigation, investigations, cross-border merger reviews and foreign direct investment. He brings nearly 20 years' experience in both the private and government sectors — experience that supports our priority to grow antitrust capabilities in the US as well as globally. Pearl is the latest in a great line of antitrust partners to join the firm globally: Laurence Bary joined in Paris and Liza Carver rejoined in Sydney last year following her role as a Commissioner of the ACCC.
