Critics on social media are butchering the Ozempic-inspired name OzemPig, the new moniker of the “ballpig” for a Minor League Baseball team co-founded by Ghostbusters star Bill Murray and longtime baseball showman Mike Veeck. Minnesota's St. Paul Saints announced the OzemPig's name on March 25. The name, of course, is a parody of the weight loss drug Ozempic , which has become especially popular among celebrities . Most users reacting to the announcement on the Saints' Instagram page didn't find the swine's name funny, however, and likened the moniker of OzemPig to fat shaming. “[Hey], this sucks and lets fat people know they are welcome to be ridiculed if they attend one of your games,” a commenter wrote. “I get that it's fun and cool to be edgy as a minor league team but why does it have to come at the expense of real people?” Another commenter posted, ”Not okay, Saints.
