In a new equity strategy note, Wedbush analyst Seth Basham said that while the “big picture remains positive” for the AI trade, “tech-tonic shifts threaten the status quo” for a subset of companies at risk of being left behind. Wedbush is “cognizant of amplified disruption from tectonic shifts in behavior across enterprises and consumers” as AI adoption accelerates. Against that backdrop, the firm identified three stocks it views as “potential AI losers into 2026,” citing structural and competitive challenges. Pinterest was downgraded to Neutral, with Wedbush saying it sees “limited visibility into catalysts that could meaningfully reaccelerate growth.” While the company is said to be on track to meet the “lower end of its intermediate-term targets,” Wedbush believes longer-term expectations have been revised lower, prompting a price target cut to $30.
