On March 16, Xanadu Quantum Technologies and TELUS Corporation (NYSE:TU) announced plans to work together on building sovereign quantum computing infrastructure in Canada. The two companies also plan to explore the development of a quantum data centre integrated with TELUS' secure, Canadian-controlled infrastructure. Under a newly signed MOU, the companies will look at how quantum processors can be combined with high-performance computing systems. The goal is to create a sovereign hybrid quantum–classical computing setup in Canada, one of the first of its kind. The collaboration brings together Xanadu's work in photonic quantum computing with TELUS' experience in AI, data centre operations, and its nationwide PureFibre network. The aim is to give Canadian businesses, researchers, and government organizations secure access to next-generation computing tools.
