Twitter earnings: Will new features jolt user growth? Twitter Inc. changed its reporting to create a more favorable user-count metric, but the company still must deliver new product innovations to keep the members flowing in. When the social-media company TWTR, +0.85% reports second-quarter results on Friday morning, its efforts to boost traction will be in full focus. Twitter continues to invest in “platform health” initiatives and video-content partnerships, and it recently overhauled both the camera function and desktop site. Such moves should “improve the user experience and result in improving engagement,” wrote Canaccord Genuity analyst Maria Ripps, who expects an 11% rise in monetizable daily active users (mDAUs) for the quarter.
