Saltgrass Steak House: Growing Fast But Priced Smack Dab in the Middle Several steakhouse chains have made their mark in the U.S. including Outback Steakhouse, with over 700 locations, and both LongHorn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse have over 500. But a smaller chain, Saltgrass Steak House, with 84 locations, which is owned by Landry Restaurants, has been growing quickly. In the Technomic’s list of the 500 largest U.S. restaurant chains, its revenue spiked a healthy 16.5% in 2018. ADVERTISEMENT In fact, in 2018 it opened 10 new steakhouses and has plans to add another 10 or 12 in 2019. It currently spans 10 states, mostly in the South including Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, and Florida but also in the West in Colorado and Nevada.
